1. Introduction & Our Agreement
Welcome to Medi Test Direct. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our home-to-laboratory testing kits (the “Services”).
Who we are: Medi Test Direct is a trading name of United Healthcare 4U Ltd (Company No: 13991146).
Our Platform: This store is powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce technology allowing us to sell our Services to you.
Your Agreement: By placing an order, you are entering into a legally binding contract with United Healthcare 4U Ltd. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Eligibility & Use of Service
To use our Services, you must meet the following criteria:
Age: You must be at least 18 years of age.
Location: You must be a resident of the United Kingdom (we do not currently ship kits or process samples for customers outside of the UK).
Purpose: Our kits are for personal, informational use only. You agree not to use our Services for any commercial or resale purposes.
3. The Nature of Our Services (Medical Disclaimer)
It is vital that you understand the following:
Not a Diagnosis: The test results provided are for informational purposes. They are "screenings," not a final clinical diagnosis.
Professional Advice: Our Services are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your GP or a qualified health provider with any questions regarding your results.
Emergency Situations: Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of a result from one of our kits. In an emergency, call 999 or 111 immediately.
4. Detailed Cancellation & Refund Policy
We aim to be as fair as possible when plans change. Our policy is based on the progress of your order and the sterile nature of our medical products.
The 14-Day Window You have up to 14 days from the date you placed your order to cancel it.
Cancellations BEFORE Dispatch If you cancel your order before the sample collection kit has been dispatched from our facility:
You are entitled to a full refund of the price paid.
Your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 working days.
Cancellations AFTER Dispatch If you cancel your order within the 14-day period but the kit has already been sent to you:
You will incur a fixed charge of £10.00 (including VAT).
Why? This charge covers the cost of the physical sample collection kit and shipping. Because these are sterile medical products, they cannot be reused or restocked once they have left our controlled environment.
Postage: Any additional premium postage purchased at checkout (e.g., Special Delivery) is non-refundable once the kit has been dispatched.

5. The Testing Process & Laboratory Analysis
Sample Submission: You are responsible for collecting your sample according to the provided instructions and posting it to the laboratory promptly.
Lab Accuracy: Our partner laboratories are UKAS-accredited. However, no diagnostic test is 100% accurate. Results are subject to the quality of the sample provided by you.
Failed Samples: If the laboratory cannot process your sample (e.g., due to insufficient volume or clotting), we will notify you. In these cases, we may offer a replacement kit at a discounted rate, but we are generally unable to offer a full refund as the laboratory has already performed the initial processing.
6. Pricing & Payments
Prices: All prices include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
Payment: We accept major credit/debit cards via Shopify's secure checkout. You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website including text, logos, product names, and images is the property of Medi Test Direct/United Healthcare 4U Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of our website for commercial purposes without our express written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medi Test Direct and United Healthcare 4U Ltd shall not be liable for:
Any loss or damage caused by your failure to follow the kit instructions correctly.
Any delays in delivery or laboratory processing caused by third parties (such as Royal Mail).
Indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of income or emotional distress related to test results.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
