Section 04
Orders, Pricing & Payment
Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected test kit(s) under these Terms. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion. A binding contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email.
Pricing
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable at the prevailing UK rate. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders for which we have already sent an order confirmation. We make every effort to ensure pricing accuracy, but in the rare event of a pricing error, we will contact you to confirm the correct price or cancel the order.
Payment
Payment is taken at the point of order via our secure payment gateway. We accept major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and other payment methods displayed at checkout. By providing payment details, you warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method and that there are sufficient funds to cover the order value.
Order Acceptance
We may decline to process an order if: the product is unavailable, there has been a pricing or product description error, your payment cannot be authorised, or we suspect the order is fraudulent or made in breach of these Terms.
Section 05
Shipping & Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only. Standard shipping is charged at £4.95 per order. Orders with a subtotal of £50 or more qualify for free standard shipping. Estimated delivery is 2–3 working days from dispatch, though this is not guaranteed and may be affected by courier delays, public holidays, or circumstances outside our control.
Express and Next Day delivery upgrades are available at checkout for an additional charge. Premium shipping costs are non-refundable once the kit has been dispatched.
Risk of loss and ownership of the goods passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout. You are responsible for ensuring the delivery address is accurate and accessible. For full details, please see our Shipping Policy.
Section 06
Cancellations & Refunds
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel your order from the date of purchase. The right to cancel is subject to specific conditions for medical test kits due to their sealed and hygienic nature.
A summary of refund eligibility:
- Before dispatch: Full refund
- After dispatch (within 14 days): Refund less £10 administration fee
- After kit opened or sample submitted: No refund (service rendered)
Full details of our cancellation and refund process are set out in our Cancellations & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Section 07
Medical Disclaimer
Our test results are for screening and informational purposes only. They do not constitute a clinical diagnosis, medical advice, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
No Doctor-Patient Relationship
Use of our service does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and Medi Test Direct, our employees, or our partner laboratories. We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing services through this platform.
Always Consult Your GP
You must consult your GP or another qualified healthcare provider before making any decisions about your health based on test results. If your results indicate a potential health concern, contact your GP without delay. In the case of a medical emergency, call 999 or attend your nearest A&E department.
Test Limitations
All diagnostic tests have inherent limitations including the possibility of false positive or false negative results. Variables such as sample collection technique, sample quality, time of collection, recent food or supplement intake, medications, and individual biological variation may affect the accuracy of results. We provide guidance on optimal sample collection in each kit and on each product page.
Not for Diagnostic Purposes Where Prohibited
Certain test kits are not licensed for diagnostic purposes under UK MHRA regulations and are provided for screening, monitoring, or wellness purposes only. Where a test is intended only for these purposes, this is clearly stated on the relevant product page.
Section 08
