    Description

This product is a home blood test kit that measures antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii. It screens for both IgG and IgM antibody types: IgM suggests recent or active infection, while IgG indicates past exposure or immunity. This test helps you understand whether you currently have or had a past infection, which can be especially relevant during pregnancy or for immunocompromised individuals.

    Why choose this product

    • Detects IgM and IgG antibodies to assess both current and past Toxoplasma exposure

    • Valuable for individuals who are pregnant, have immune vulnerabilities, or experience unexplained symptoms

    • Helps guide further medical evaluation if infection is active or reactivated

    • Convenient finger-prick sample collection at home with immunology lab analysis

    Important information

    • A positive IgM result may indicate recent infection, but additional confirmation is often required
A positive IgG result generally suggests past exposure but does not guarantee immunity at all levels

    • This test is for informational purposes only and should not substitute medical diagnosis

    • Results should be interpreted by a qualified healthcare professional, especially during pregnancy

    • All samples are processed by accredited immunology laboratories

    What's in the test?

    • Immunity

      Toxoplasma Igm

Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by the toxoplasma parasite. Infection usually occurs through eating undercooked, contaminated meat or cleaning a cats litter box when the cat has shed Toxoplasma in its faeces. Often those who are infected have very few symptoms because a healthy persons immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. However, those with compromised immune systems and pregnant women should be cautious as an infection can cause serious health problems and affect the unborn child. When the body is exposed to the toxoplasma parasite, the immune system responds by producing antibodies to the parasite. IgM antibodies are the first to be produced by the body in response to a Toxoplasma infection.

      Toxoplasma IgG

Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by the toxoplasma parasite. Infection usually occurs through eating undercooked, contaminated meat or cleaning a cats litter box when the cat has shed Toxoplasma in its faeces. Often those who are infected have very few symptoms because a healthy persons immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. However, those with compromised immune systems and pregnant women should be cautious as an infection can cause serious health problems and affect the unborn child. The body produces Toxoplasma IgG antibodies after being infected by this parasite.
